Tyson Fury has openly questioned Anthony Joshua’s ability to withstand heavy punches, using Daniel Dubois’ recent victory over Fabio Wardley as evidence. Dubois stopped Wardley in the 11th round of their WBO heavyweight title clash in Manchester, delivering a relentless barrage of power shots that eventually overwhelmed the Ipswich fighter.
While many praised the drama and Wardley’s resilience, Fury offered a different take. In a social media post, he pointed out that Dubois had previously stopped Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Fabio Wardley without knocking any of them down. He also noted that Dubois landed significant blows on Oleksandr Usyk but failed to put him on the canvas. Yet when Dubois faced Anthony Joshua, he dropped him four times.

“I’ve just been sat here thinking after Dubois’ unbelievable fight last night,” Fury wrote. “Dubois fought ‘Big Baby’ Miller, stopped him but never put him down. Then he fought Hrgovic, stopped him but never put him down. He fought Wardley last night, in an unbelievable fight, stopped him but never put him down. He hit Usyk with some big bombs, never put him over.”

“Yet he fights Anthony Joshua and pummels him, puts him to the floor four times. I’m not saying Anthony Joshua’s chinless but there are the facts. Take it as you wish and as you will. Everybody else never went over, not a singular person — Miller, Hrgovic, Usyk or Wardley — but Joshua goes down four times… Chinny!”

Fury, a former two-time world champion who has held every major heavyweight belt, is expected to face Joshua later this year, though no date or venue has been confirmed. He could also take a warm-up bout beforehand.
On his Instagram account, Fury promised fight news was imminent, writing: “I’ve got some unbelievable, exciting news coming, stay tuned, about being in a ring.”
