Head coach P.J. Fleck and his staff have added another in-state talent to their 2026 recruiting class, as Lakeville South offensive tackle Joseph Hamer has committed to the Minnesota Golden Gophers. He becomes the sixth player from Minnesota to pledge to the program.

**Scouting Report**
Hamer projects as a high-upside offensive tackle. Despite standing 6’7” and weighing 315 pounds, he carries his weight well and has room to add another 30 pounds at the college level without sacrificing mobility or flexibility. At the high school level, he excels as a run blocker, but will need to refine his pass protection technique to become a starter in the Big Ten. While his game is still raw in certain areas, his physical tools give offensive line coach Brian Callahan plenty to work with over the coming years.
