In last weekend’s El Clásico, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 2-0 to clinch the La Liga title early. According to official club statistics, four of Barcelona’s last five trophies have been secured by beating their arch-rivals Real Madrid.
Over the past two seasons, Barça have taken four of the last five available titles directly from Real Madrid. Under coach Hansi Flick, the team has won six out of seven Clásico encounters.
In the last two campaigns, Barcelona faced Real Madrid in two Spanish Super Cup finals, a Copa del Rey final, and the decisive league showdown this weekend. In all those matches, Flick’s side emerged victorious. Four of the five titles won under the German coach were sealed against Real Madrid. The only exception came a year ago when Barcelona secured the league crown early at the home of Espanyol.
Beyond these trophy-deciding Clásicos, notable wins include a 4-0 league rout in 2024 and a crazy 4-3 victory at Montjuïc in 2025. Although that 4-3 win did not mathematically decide the league title, with only three games left it effectively wrapped up the championship.
